If literature, fundamentally, is the necessary confrontation with the Other (within/without), displaced literature is the actualization of that confrontation as the germinating factor. What do we mean, though, by displaced literature? Displaced literature is a narrating process that posits at its fulcrum a passage from a socio-cultural landscape to another. The consequences (anthropological, economical, political, psychological, and so on) of that particular passage, both individually and collectively, constitute the background from which narratives emerge.
